The university was founded in 1956according to the USSR Council of
Ministers DirectivedatedMay 6, 1956.
During the lifetime and till
now, LSMU provides
a Multiplicity of specializations and Degree Courses for the thousands of Doctors who have done
successful graduations and thousands of Doctors improved their qualifications
and skills in Post Graduation Courses in our University. Due to the social
and political activity in the South East of Ukraine, Lugansk State Medical University was
changed from Lugansk region to the city of Rubizhne of Lugansk region by order
of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine from October 8, 2014.
Lugansk State Medical
University is holding Government Licenses, Accreditations and
Permissions from the Ministry of Heath of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education
and Science of Ukraine.
Lugansk State Medical University is recognized and listed in
FAIMER,
WHO, Medical Councils of European Union countries and other Medical Councils
all over the world.
At present more than 6000 students are being trained at the university. There are 1250 foreign students among them.
